Timothy founded TM Gregory & Co in 1994, and has since built the practice up from an initial sole trader start to a two attorney practice with offices in Northampton and Bedford. Timothy qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 1980, and has over 30 years experience in patents, trade marks, designs and general intellectual property.

Timothy is a representative before the UK Patent Office, UK Trade Marks Registry, UK Designs Registry, European Patent Office, Community Trade Marks and Designs Office (OHIM), and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
In the field of patents, Tim has wide experience of a range of industries including electronics, mechanical engineering, medical devices, building products, civil engineering, automotive components, transport, health and consumer products to name a small sample.
Timothy has experience in civil litigation and advocacy before the Patents County Court, having represented several clients for patent and design matters, and having argued client’s cases in person in oral proceedings at the Patents County Court, the European Patent Office, the UK Patent Office, the UK Trade Marks Registry and the UK Designs Registry.
Tim now acts in a consultancy role following the merger between TM Gregory & Co and Franks & Co.
